Dr. Adam CHEE is the Founder and Chief Advocacy Officer of binaryHealthCare, a ‘purpose-driven’ boutique consulting firm offering training, advisory on technical and business strategies, specifically addressing the eHealth domains within but not limited to the APAC and Middle East region while serving to “Bridge the eHealth Divide” by empowering stakeholders in both developed & LAMI counties  on effective, sustainable adoption of Health IT as an enabler for “better patient care at lower cost”.

Bringing 12 years of experience and expertise in strategy & operations, technology & workflow advisory, implementation & adoption of eHealth technologies, Adam had a successful career in the IT industry before venturing into Health Informatics in 2002 and he worked across the healthcare ecosystem including the primary care sector, private & public tertiary hospitals, government health agencies and NGOs across the globe.

Adam serves on several Technical and Health Informatics committees including (but not limited to):

– Chair, HL7 Singapore
– Vice-President, AMBIS, Singapore (National Member Body of IMIA)
– National Delegation Member (Singapore) to ISO TC215, International
– Member, Special Committee (Health Information System Benchmarking), MOH, Malaysia
– Advisor, CPHIMS Technical Committee, HIMSS, USA

His unique background includes working in Sales, Business Development and Product Management with established MNCs including Agfa HealthCare, CrimsonLogic and innovative Startups and leading the Health IT & Medical Imaging practice within Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific, consulting for Fortune 500 companies like GE, Phillips, TNT and Sony. Adam has also ‘earned his stripes’ as an industry pioneer, implementing and managing Clinical IT solutions during his tenure with Singapore Health Services (SingHealth).

A firm believer of lifelong learning and interdisciplinary approaches thru multiple specializations, Adam stays relevant through continuous professional development in diverse disciplines and holds advanced degrees in Health Informatics, Public Health and Computing. He is currently pursuing a MBA.

A Fellow of Australasia College of Health Informatics (FACHI) and recognized Subject Matter Expert, Adam holds faculty positions at institutes of higher learning in the region, which included an Associate Professorship (Health Informatics), has published 3 books, numerous articles and frequently advises & speaks at international conferences.
